Every day 822 people in the UK are diagnosed with cancer
Macmillan Cancer Support helps improve the lives of people affected by cancer. Those living with cancer, their families and carers. Their ambition is to help every one of these people by providing them with the medical, emotional, practical and financial support they need.
The event started in 1990, when a local fundraising committee decided to hold a coffee morning where people came along to meet and mingle – as they might ordinarily do – but donate the cost of their coffee to Macmillan in the process.
Kenco Local members are encouraging their customers to participate in the Kenco MacMillan Coffee Morning by:
Hosting a coffee morning at work using free Kenco sponsor packs. Providing free branded cups to customers to spread the important message

Here’s some Ideas on how you can make a difference:
- WestWay’s Biggest raffle Morning – in September staff will be baking cakes, bringing them into work on Friday’s where we will be selling them off. On Friday 27th September at 11am they’ll be making the draw for their biggest raffle consisting of prizes donated from customers & suppliers.
- Alba Beverage’s Raft race – Alba will be donating £1 per case of Kenco Coffee ordered in September and supporting local business coffee mornings. On Saturday 28th their engineer Trevor will be braving the river Tweed on a raft in a fund raiser for MacMillan.
- Kenco Local Business Service in Buckinghamshire are actively supporting several local businesses’ coffee mornings by providing coffee machines and raffle prizes in Hemel Hempstead, Hatfield, Twickenham and Tring.
